2021: 3th fastest time over 1500m in the European U18 ranking.
2022: World Championship U20 participant in Cali (1500m).

2023: European cross country championships in Brussels (U20) – 38th.

Background

Régis started athletics in 2014 doing all disciplines. He was good at middle distance and high jump, but probably had more of a future in high jump. At the age of 16 he achieved 1m95 and won the Belgian youth championships in high jump (= championship record), only 3 cm away from the Belgian youth record.
The following year Régis decided to devote himself 100% to middle distance running because he thought he was too small to do high jumping. 3 years later he selected for his first world championship U20 over 1500m in Cali, Colombia. During these 3 years he approached within 2 seconds the Belgian U18 1500m record.
