Personal information

Lucas Da Silva started athletics at the age of 10.

He has dual Belgian-Portuguese nationality.

He has represented Belgium 3 times in international championships. He has always had a preference for cross country and road races.

Until 2020, Lucas was never able to perform on the track due to a nerve problem in his back. Since 2022, those back pains have disappeared, and track has become a pleasure for him. His times in the 5000m and 10,000m have each dropped by more than 60 seconds in 2022 compared to 2021.
