Personal information

Marco started running at the age of 12 in combination with duathlon, winning multiple medals in national championships. At the age of 17, he chose to put his focus on track and field to be able to combine his running ambitions with a degree in physics and astrophysics. During these years, he gradually grew as an athlete and made steady progress on track as well as in cross-country with multiple selections for international championships as a result. At this point in time he stand on the 20th position all time in Belgium over 3000m steeple chase and became European team champion at the European Cross-Country Championships.
